PromptBase vs just selling through a Gumroad page?

Trying to decide whether to list on PromptBase or set up my own simple storefront instead. PromptBase takes a cut but has built-in buyer traffic. A storefront gives me more control but I'd have to drive all the traffic myself.

Started on PromptBase for the traffic, would consider a storefront later once I have an audience of my own, but not before.

Did both eventually, marketplace for discovery, storefront for repeat buyers I already have a relationship with. More setup work though.

If you're brand new I'd just start with the marketplace. Building your own traffic from zero is a much bigger project than most people expect.
