It's going to happen eventually. Here's how to handle it gracefully.

    First: Don't Panic

One negative review among positive ones won't tank your listing. Airbnb shows your overall rating, and guests understand that not every stay is perfect.

    Responding to Negative Reviews

    #DO:
    - ✅ Wait 24 hours before responding (don't react emotionally)
    - ✅ Thank them for their feedback
    - ✅ Acknowledge any legitimate issues
    - ✅ Explain what you've done to fix the problem
    - ✅ Keep it professional and brief

    #DON'T:
    - ❌ Get defensive or argumentative
    - ❌ Make excuses
    - ❌ Attack the guest personally
    - ❌ Write a novel-length response

    Response Template

    > "Thank you for your feedback, [Name]. I'm sorry [specific issue] didn't meet your expectations. I've since [action taken to fix]. I appreciate you helping me improve and hope you'll give us another try in the future."

    When to Contact Airbnb

You can request review removal if it:
    - Contains false information
    - Violates Airbnb's content policy
    - Is retaliatory for enforcing house rules

Has anyone successfully had a review removed? What was the situation?
