First shipment to FBA - what should I know?

Hi everyone! I'm about to send my very first shipment to Amazon FBA and I'm nervous about messing something up.
I've watched a bunch of YouTube videos but I still have questions:
1. How do I know if my products need polybags or suffocation warnings?
2. Is it worth paying for Amazon's prep service or should I do it myself?
3. What happens if I accidentally send something with the wrong barcode?
4. Any common mistakes first-timers make that I should avoid?
I'm starting with about 50 units of a single product. Thanks for any help!

For polybags: anything with a 5 inch opening or larger needs a suffocation warning. When in doubt, polybag it - Amazon would rather you over-prep than under-prep. For your first shipment, I actually recommend doing it yourself so you understand the process. You can switch to a prep center later once you scale.

Common first-timer mistakes: 1) Not checking your box weight limits (50 lbs max for most). 2) Using the wrong box sizes. 3) Not printing labels dark enough. 4) Mixing multiple SKUs incorrectly. Take your time on this first one - speed comes with experience!
