I wanted to share my journey because I was in the same position as many of you not long ago - wondering if this FBA thing actually works.
Background:
Started in April 2024 with about $3,000 saved up. Zero e-commerce experience. Full-time job in marketing.
Month by month:
- Month 1-2: Learning, product research, found my first product
- Month 3: Launched first private label product. Made $800, profit maybe $100
- Month 4: Figured out PPC, sales jumped to $2,500
- Month 5: Launched second product (flopped, lost $500)
- Month 6: Doubled down on product 1, hit $5,000
- Month 7: Third product launched successfully, $7,500 combined
- Month 8: $10,200 revenue, ~$3,500 profit
What worked:
- Obsessing over reviews and customer feedback
- Reinvesting everything back in
- Joining communities like this for support
- Not giving up after product 2 failed
What didn't:
- Trying to do too many things at once
- Cheap product photography (invest in this!)
- Ignoring PPC for too long

This is so inspiring! Im currently in month 4 and just hit my first profitable month. The part about not giving up after product 2 failed really resonates - Im already nervous about my next launch. How do you decide when to give up on a product vs when to keep optimizing?

Congrats! Love seeing real numbers instead of the usual vague success claims. That reinvestment strategy is key - so many people try to take profit too early. Question: at what point did you feel confident enough to launch product 3 after product 2 failed?
