How much capital did you start with?

I've saved up about $2,000 to start my FBA business. Is this enough?
I keep seeing people online saying you need at least $5-10k to really get started, but others claim they started with just $500.
For those who are now successful, what was your starting budget and what did you spend it on?
I'm trying to figure out if I should:
- Start with arbitrage to build up more capital
- Go straight into wholesale
- Try private label with a very cheap product
Any advice appreciated! I don't want to wait forever to start, but I also don't want to set myself up for failure.

I started with about $800 doing retail arbitrage. Built it up to $5K over 6 months, then moved into wholesale. $2000 is definitely enough to start with arbitrage. Just dont expect to go full private label right away - those product launches can easily cost $3-5K minimum when you factor in inventory, photography, PPC, etc.

Started with $5K in wholesale. Honestly, I think $2K is fine for arbitrage but tight for wholesale since you often need minimum orders. My suggestion: start with RA/OA to learn the platform and build capital, then transition to wholesale or PL once youre comfortable and have more funds.
