Those are solid numbers to make the jump. The fears you mentioned are totally normal - I had the same ones. What helped me was realizing that the skills youve built are transferable. Even worst case, you could always go back to a traditional job. Wanted to share my story for anyone on the same path. The journey: Started FBA in June 2023 while working as a supply chain manager (helpful background). Did wholesale to start because I understood the logistics. The numbers that made me comfortable: \- Last 6 months average: $45K revenue, $12K profit/month \- 3 months expenses saved as emergency fund \- Health insurance figured out (COBRA then marketplace) \- Wife's income as backup (this was huge psychologically) Why now: \- Hitting ceiling on what I can do part-time \- Several wholesale accounts want me to take on more SKUs \- My job was getting more demanding, something had to give \- Running on 4-5 hours sleep was unsustainable Fears I'm working through: \- What if Q4 flops? \- What if Amazon suspends my account? \- Am I making a huge mistake?
