How to format manuscripts for KDP?

I have my book written in Word but when I upload it the formatting looks off in the previewer. Any recommendations for formatting software or templates?

Try Atticus or Vellum if you are on Mac. For free options, Reedsy Book Editor works great and exports clean files.

Kindle Create is free from Amazon and handles basic formatting well. Good starting point before investing in paid tools.
