Care.com offers background checks but they cost money. Is this worth investing in as a new sitter? Do families really look for this when choosing caregivers?

Absolutely worth it. Families filter by background check status. It paid for itself with my first booking.

Get the background check. It shows you are serious and gives families peace of mind. Considered a must-have in my area.
