A bit nervous about meeting strangers from the internet. Where do you meet buyers? Do you ever do home pickups? What safety precautions should I take? Any horror stories to learn from?

I always meet at the police station parking lot. Most stations have designated safe exchange zones with cameras. Never had an issue and it filters out anyone with bad intentions.

For large furniture, I do porch pickup only. They pull up, load it themselves, I watch from inside. For everything else, public places during daylight. Trust your gut - if something feels off, cancel.
