My approach: price 20-30% higher than what I want, expect negotiation. For fast-moving items, price competitively from the start. Check sold listings to see what things actually sell for, not just what people are asking.

I always check eBay sold listings before pricing. What something is listed for means nothing - what it actually SOLD for is the real market value. Adjust for local market being slightly lower than eBay.

For quick flips, I price to sell fast. For rare or unique items, I price high and wait. Know which strategy fits each item. Time is money, but so is leaving money on the table.
