Got a copyright strike on my second video, now what

Used some stock footage I found through a general search instead of a proper licensed library, figured it would be fine since it was easy to find. Got a copyright claim on my second video. Video's still up but monetization on it is gone. How careful does everyone actually need to be about this?

This happens more than people admit. Stick to actual licensed libraries even though it costs a bit, cheaper than losing monetization on videos you spent hours on.

A claim isn't the same as a strike though, worth knowing the difference. A strike is more serious and can affect your whole channel, a claim usually just affects revenue on that one video.

Which stock sites are people actually using that are clearly properly licensed? I've been nervous about this exact thing.
