Car maintenance costs are eating more of my earnings than I expected

Didn't think about this enough going in. Between extra oil changes and a set of tires wearing down faster than normal from the added mileage, my actual take-home this quarter was noticeably lower than what I was tracking in the app. Not saying don't do it, just wanted to flag it since it doesn't show up anywhere in the numbers people usually post.

Also worth tracking mileage properly for tax purposes, the deduction helps offset some of this at least.

This is a fair point that doesn't get mentioned enough. I started setting aside a percentage of each payout specifically for vehicle costs after reading something similar.
