Is this actually legit or a data-privacy nightmare waiting to happen?

Selling my own photos and videos to AI labs sounds fine on paper but something about it makes me hesitant, mostly around not fully knowing where the data ends up or how it gets used down the line. Has anyone actually gone through their terms carefully or is everyone just uploading and hoping for the best?

I read through the terms before uploading anything, they're pretty clear that you're licensing specific content for training use, not handing over unlimited rights to everything on your phone. Still worth reading it yourself though rather than taking my word for it.

Same hesitation here honestly, I've only uploaded stuff I'd already be fine sharing publicly anyway, nothing personal or identifying.

That seems like the reasonable approach, treat it like anything else you'd post online rather than a total wallet dump of your camera roll.
