Just started on Rover and trying to figure out competitive pricing in my area. What do you charge?

I charge $20 for 30 min walks in a suburban area. City sitters can charge more.

Check what others in your zip code charge. Rover shows you the range!

For anyone using this thread as a rate calculator, here's roughly what I see in my area: 30-min walk $18-25, drop-in visit $20-28, overnight boarding $35-55/night depending on experience and cost of living, daycare $30-40/day. For longer stays think in per-night blocks rather than a flat weekly rate. A 5-night stay is usually 5x your nightly rate, minus maybe a small multi-night discount. A full week (7 nights) is where I start offering 10% off to lock in the booking.

This matches what I charge too. One thing worth adding: rates should climb with experience and reviews, not stay flat. I started at $25/night and I'm at $55/night now, same walking radius, just way more reviews and repeat clients backing it up.
