I keep seeing people search "is Rover safe," but that's usually pet parents worried about handing their dog to a stranger. As a sitter I get asked this constantly in meet-and-greets. What do you actually tell people?

I walk them through the background check Rover runs before anyone can even list a profile, plus my own insurance and the emergency vet fund. That usually does it. The bigger safety gap honestly runs the other way: there's no rating system for owners, so I do my own vetting in the meet-and-greet too.

Same. I also mention Rover's support line and the photo/GPS updates during the walk so they can see it's actually happening in real time. Doesn't stop every horror story you read about, but those are rare. I've done 400+ bookings with zero incidents.
