Real talk thread: is Rover actually worth it for you, or would you tell a friend to skip it? Curious to hear both sides, not just the highlight reel.

Worth it for me because I genuinely like the work and it's flexible around my other job. Would NOT recommend it if you need predictable income. The first couple months were rough with barely any bookings, and even now some weeks are dead.

Worth it long-term once you've got a base of repeat clients, because the fee drops a lot at that point and you're not starting from zero every time. Early on though, between the signup fee, the 30% new-client cut, and waiting on the algorithm to notice you, it can feel like a lot of effort for not much money. I'd tell a friend: give it 2-3 months before deciding.
