How to choose a niche that actually works?

I have so many interests but can't decide on a podcast topic. How do you pick something that's both interesting to you AND has an audience? Should I go broad or super specific?

Go specific! "True crime" is broad but "unsolved cases from the Pacific Northwest" is a niche with dedicated fans.

Pick something you could talk about for 100 episodes. Passion sustains you when downloads are slow at first.
