How to handle pricing - should I start low or competitive?

Struggling with setting my rates. I've seen taskers charge anywhere from $25-80/hour for the same work. Started at $35 but getting undercut by $20/hour taskers. Is it worth racing to the bottom to get reviews, or should I hold my price and be patient? Would love to hear what worked for others.

I started at $25 for first 10 reviews then bumped to $40. The low initial rate is painful but reviews compound fast. Now at $55 with steady work. The patience paid off.

Don't race to the bottom! I held at $40 and just waited. Took longer to get started but I attract better clients who value quality. $20/hour taskers get the nightmare clients.
