# Understanding TikTok analytics - what metrics matter?

I'm so confused by the analytics dashboard. Watch time, completion rate, shares, saves... which ones should I actually be paying attention to? And what's a "good" number for each?

Watch time percentage is #1 most important! If people watch your whole video, TikTok pushes it more. Saves and shares are also huge signals. Comments and likes matter less than you'd think.

I focus on: 1) Average watch time (aim for 80%+) 2) Shares (means people found it valuable) 3) Profile visits (shows your hook worked). Don't stress about follower count early on.
