How detailed should my pre-trip photos be?

I've heard horror stories about damage claims being denied due to poor documentation. What's your photo checklist? Do you take videos too? How many photos is "enough" before each trip?

I do 50+ photos per trip: all four corners, close-ups of any existing damage, wheels, interior from multiple angles, odometer, and fuel gauge. I also do a 360 video walk-around. Takes 10 minutes but saves headaches.

Definitely include timestamps in your photos or use the Turo app to take them since it records the time. Also photograph the roof - I've had claims for hail damage that I could prove was pre-existing!
