The connects system is broken - change my mind

Spending 16 connects on one proposal that might get ignored feels wrong. Anyone else frustrated with this system?

Agreed it's expensive but it filters out low-effort applicants. I only apply to jobs where I'm a perfect fit now.

The trick is getting invites. Once you're established, you spend less on proposals because clients come to you.
