Best camera for starting out on a budget?

I've been filming on my phone but want to upgrade. Budget is around $500-700. Should I get a dedicated camera or just a better phone?

Sony ZV-E10 is the YouTube creator camera right now. Great autofocus, flip screen, and clean audio. Can often find used ones in your budget range.

Honestly? iPhone 15 Pro shoots amazing video. Invest the rest in lighting and audio - those matter more than the camera in most cases.
